Happy New Year!

January 1, 2014 is here.  Overcast skies...cool 47 degrees...winds NE 5-12mph.  Brrrrr...'Twas the night for the Pelican Drop at Palafox Place in Pensacola, FL.  The bird dropped amid fireworks, confetti, and a big crowd.  Was drizzly rain and cold so our ringing in the New Year was from our trailer and TV.

Ortho Dr. visit on 01/02 was a good one.  I now have 80% use of my left arm after breaking it Dec. 17th.  For the next 2 months I can only lift 3-5# and ONLY do extension exercises.  Have to be extremely careful with the arm.  After 2 months I can start strengthening exercises with a small can of beans.  I have been turned loose to travel.  YEAH!

J bought the oil/filter for his truck and had CW change it for him and do a 9 point lube.  He was satisfied with their price.  I bought a mini deep-dish upside-down pizza baking set.  It includes 2 non-stick round deep-dish pans and a dough cutter.  Appears you make the pizza backwards with the pizza dough being the last to put over the pan with the dough hanging over and down 1/2 the sides of the pans.  After cooked you invert the pans creating deep-dish personal pan pizzas.  Going to be fun.

Here is a kitty cat kite a professional kite person was starting to fly over Pensacola bay.  No they don't blow it up...the wind funnels thru its ears to inflate.  Takes at least 3-6 mph wind to raise it up with the help of another flying kite seen below.
Now today J decided to turn the kitchen into the "man's area" testing out our new deep-dish pizza pans.  Oh YUM!  We shared one pizza with our Missouri friends.  :)

Our pizza was very yummy.  Definitely will be making these often.  See you by the campfire.
