Home again...

Sunday morning...up at 5:30 a.m.  Overcast without rain.  Coffee and homemade breakfast burrito.  Said our goodbyes to our fishermen neighbors.  Hooked up and pulled out from Modoc campground around 8 a.m. for NC.  Pollen continued to be thick and the clouds had the thickest Mackerel design J had ever seen.

North Augusta was busy as folk poured in for the Master's Golf Tournament.

Darlington was quiet.  Guess no races.

SC had the best gas prices as back in NC everything is $3.53.9 and higher.  GRRR

I-95 had the remnants of this winter's ice storm as crews were still sawing downed and broken trees as the clean up continued.

There were yellow fields and rich green fields.

Other snowbird folk were traveling I-20 and I-95 with their various rigs .  Always interesting to see the different styles, brands, and tow vehicles.

On the other side of this big sombrero was NC.

Not far down the road was our EXIT for Fayetteville.  There were several changes while we were gone.  Camping World full of new and used rigs.
The airport got a new sign on Rt. 301.  The corner of Rt. 301 and Natal Street a new Walmart is to be built.  WOW!  That will be close to home.  The Corner Market has spring veggie plants.  J got excited.  As we rounded the curve on our street we were greeted with smiles and waves from our neighbors out in their yards.  Everyone happy to see us home.  Lots of chat with one needing a hug.  Believe it or not...my car with 6-7 yr. old battery...cranked on the first turn of the key.  YEAH!  After dropping the rig, we drove my car out to our lake property visiting with our neighbor there who keeps an eye on our property there.  A stop by the grocery for milk and a case of wine as we were OUT.  Back home and a good night's rest, we headed out this morning (Monday) to the Post Office to reverse our mail.  Bread store was a good stop with bread and "Hi" to the familiar lady at the store.  A stop at the Corner Market with us bringing home a flat of new veggie plants.  I'm holding my breath for warming temps with NO FROST.  J tilled some of the garden before big drops of rain run him inside.   I'm looking forward to fresh veggies.  A cool damp day here.  Not warm like we have enjoyed for the past week.  The furnace lit and is putting out some nice hot heat to warm my cold bones.   Blogs will now dwindle.  Next one will be summer.

Until next time...take care...travel safe...see you in the garden or by the campfire.
